World Poker Summit to be postponed for the next year owing to coronavirus

World Poker Summit

Chinese coronavirus has had a very serious impact on the conduct of most of the world-class events. Large poker series have been no exception.

Thus, the first stage of the Triton Poker High Roller, as well as the EAPT Montenegro were canceled owing to the epidemic in Asia. The MILLIONS Cyprus series was rescheduled for the same reason.

In early February, we wrote that the World Poker Summit was due to take place in Sochi (at the Krasnaya Polyana gambling zone) in May with sponsorship from the world's best poker rooms.

A music festival, different exhibitions and conferences with focus on gambling, as well as the Sochi Poker Festival Global with a total guarantee of over $3 500 000 were to be held as part of this summit.

Nevertheless, with regard to the increasing rate of the spread of coronavirus across the European continent, it was decided to postpone the World Poker Summit to 2021.

The Sochi Poker Festival is to take place according to the schedule, however, it will be held with the reduced guarantee – $1 428 000.

You can win a chance to get into the events of the SPF series at PartyPoker and 888Poker. These poker rooms will provide promotions, in which tickets to the events of the given series will be raffled.
