Victory at WSOP helped poker player to find wife
The poker community is actively enlarged with couples in which both partners play poker. The other day, the poker world learned of Kate Hoang and Julien Martini’s wedding happened a year after their heads-up at the WSOP 2018.
In the final heads-up Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better, French poker player won his first gold bracelet and $240 000 in prize money, thereby “ridding” his future wife of $90 000 and the cherished trophy. However, this did not become an obstacle in their relationship and a year later, they got married. Julien later said that in that tournament he had won two of the most valuable prizes in his life - the WSOP bracelet and the soulmate.
The World Series of Poker representatives have already congratulated the newlyweds on their Twitter page:

How did the player who knocked out the girl in the WSOP heads-up manage to win her heart?
Martini told reporters about this yet at the beginning of 2019:
«We just cross each other the same day after the tournament, started talking, asking about plans for the evening. Then decided to go to karaoke together. And it was a trap».
The guy proudly states that Kate plays poker great and that they practice the game together.
