Sunday was the day of holding large Poker Masters tournaments at PartyPoker. The total prize pool of three events amounted to $3 760 000, and we will talk about the two most interesting of them.

Jason Koon's triumph at Poker Masters # 16

In the 16th Poker Masters tournament, the winner received large prize money – $549 000. It was Jason Koon to become the owner of more than half a million dollars. It worth noting that this was the first winning Jason got in the series.

Each of 72 participants paid a $25 500 buy-in and fought for a part of the $1 800 000 prize pool. The main prize eventually went to Koon, who managed to beat the whole field of players.

In heads-up, he was opposed by one of the most profitable players in poker history – Justin Bonomo. But this time, Justin wasn’t able to win the event.

At the final table, there were also such players as Ole Schemion, Dario Sammartino and Steve O'Dwyer. All of them took high places in the given event and received big payouts, unlike Sam Greenwood.

  • Winner: Jason Koon.
  • Runner-up: Justin Bonomo.
  • Bubble boy: Sam Greenwood.
