Ranno Sootla won his first WSOP bracelet for Estonia

Ranno Sootla became the first winner of WSOP gold bracelet in the history of Estonia. The victory in Collosus tournament brought him a big prize money of $596 000 and $15 000 WSOPE package.

Ranno earned his first prize money in the live tournament in 2013 at EPT Barcelona. At that moment, he got 14 000 euros for the third place in one of the tournaments. Seven years passed since then and the poker player won over $600 000 in various live events.

Collosus at WSOP Online was held for several days and during this time, it collected the biggest prize pool of series – $4 796 000. It was shared among 1 575 players who reached ITM zone.

The Estonian Ranno Sootla demonstrated an excellent play and beat the players’ pool of 12 747 participants. The final table lasted only 90 minutes and Ranno knocked out half of the players.

In heads-up, Sootla fought against the Greek player Paraskevas Tsokaridis who had a two-fold advantage. Despite this, Ranno immediately started to dominate and won 12 of the first 15 hands of heads-up.

In the last hand, a pocket pair of kings brought Sootla a victory and a gold bracelet. Tsokaridis had only A-9 in his hands and he hoped to see an ace on the board, but that didn't happen.
