PokerStars to hold the Pennsylvania Championship of Online Poker 2019
Pennsylvania's authorities have finally allowed PokerStars to provide online gambling services in the state. Thus, on November 6, Stars launched the PokerStars PA client after the test run lasting for 2 days.
In order to celebrate this historic event, PokerStars along with Fox Bet will hold a series of online tournaments – Pennsylvania Championship of Online Poker (PACOOP).
«The Championship of Online Poker, or COOP, is one of our most prestigious events and we’re proud to give Pennsylvania its own. Players in PA have already shown their excitement for PokerStars so we took things to the next level with a $1 million series guarantee and plenty of ways to get in on the action», said FOX Bet president Matt Primeaux.
It doesn't come as a surprise since there is great interest in poker in the state, and many residents of Pennsylvania spend their free time in the nearby New Jersey, where online poker is allowed, by visiting a large gambling center in Atlantic City.
The Pennsylvania Championship of Online Poker will include 50 tournaments of various buy-ins: from $30 up to $750. The games will be mostly held in NLH format, and the total guarantee is equal to $1 000 000, which is a pretty good start. This long-awaited poker festival starts on November 30 and will run until December 16.
The PACOOP Main Event with a buy-in of $300 and $100 000 GTD will take place on December 15. You can find the complete schedule of the series on the PACOOP official page.
How to get into the action for cheap
