Poker player is ready to become infected with coronavirus for $250 000
The famous poker player Matt Glantz said about his readiness to contract the coronavirus for $250 000. He wrote the post about it on his Twitter.
Willing to contract the #coronavirus for $250k. Will immediately go into self quarantine as to not to spread or infect anyone else. Will document entire experience daily.— Matt Glantz (@MattGlantz) March 7, 2020
Always put my money (I guess body now) where my mouth is.
HMU to negotiate exact terms. Let's do it!
According to Matt’s words, the threat of coronavirus is overstated. The escalation of situation related to disease does more harm than the disease itself. For comparison, Matt stated that he would never agree to become infected with Ebola virus under no circumstances.
Twitter’s users had a violent reaction to Matt's statement. Many emphasized that he underestimates the risks of this disease.
In the commentaries to Glantz’s tweet, the poker player David Tuchman wrote the following message:
What are you willing to pay to have someone else get it and conduct the same experiment?— David Tuchman (@TuckonSports) March 7, 2020
Not to undercut you, but I will. I’d do this for 200k
Earlier, Glantz offered his followers on Twitter to take part in the freeroll and guess the names of three poker players for whom he wishes to get coronavirus. The reward for the winner is $1 000.
