Poker Masters: Andras Nemeth lost first place to PartyPoker Ambassador
The Poker Masters # 08 tournament for $10 300, which was held in the NLH format, brought together 104 participants, securing a prize pool of $1 040 000. 16 poker players entered the ITM zone, and the minimum payout was equal to $20 800.
The prize money was given to such poker professionals as Benjamin Rolle, Timothy Adams, Sami Kelopuro, Joao Vieira, Christopher Hunichen and others.
Only those poker players who showed the best play that evening managed to reach the final table. The first to leave the game was Dario Sammartino, the WSOP ME 2019 runner-up. The eighth position brought the Italian $33 800.
Then, Alex Foxen and Timothy Adams finished their performance in the tournament. Foxen took the payout of $41 000 for the 7th place, while Timothy Adams won $52 000, having taken the 6th place.
At the beginning of the final day, poker player Juan Pardo was a chip leader, but soon lost almost all of his chips. At some point in the game, he played with a stack of less than 12 BB. Juan wasn’t lucky enough and finished the game in the fifth place.
The Finnish player Elias Talvitie was unable to get the second victory at the Poker Masters series. Andras Nemeth knocked him out of the game, having hit a runner-runner flush.
In the top 3, Nemeth had a huge advantage over his rivals Sergi Reixach and PartyPoker Team Pro Joni Jouhkimainen. But later, Joni took the lead and became the chip leader.
Sergi lost a few more pots and eventually eliminated from the event in third place. The Finnish player started the heads-up with big amount of chips, but it took him some time to get the victory, as Nemeth went all-in four times with the tiny stack but managed to double each time.
Luck ends sooner or later and after an unsuccessful bluff, Nemeth had only a couple of blinds left. Joni exploited it and beat the Hungarian, which allowed him to become the tournament winner.
