The young grinder shows great results in being a part of a major online poker room. However, he does it playing on the rival poker room. The Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) started on PokerStars on May 12, and Matt tried his hand in the $215 Sunday Million Special Edition (NLHE, 8 max) with a $1 000 000 guarantee.
There were 6 632 entries and the guy managed to reach the final table and beaten almost all his rivals. Matt left the tournament two steps away from winning it. The prize money he got for finishing third is impressive – $92 812. It’s the biggest win in his poker career. This is what he wrote on his Twitter page:
4 years ago started with $8 on twitch and today we got 3rd in the Sunday Million for $92,812 in front of 13K people. Cant believe this is real. pic.twitter.com/JoLBQrCHJY

Poker professionals like Jeff Gross, Randy Lew, Joey Ingram, ElkY and usual regulars congratulated the player with such a great score.
But it wasn’t the only deep run from Matthew Staples for the last few days. After the lucky Sunday, the guy also took part in some tournaments of KO Series on Partypoker and was able to reach the ITM zone:
Two @partypoker Final Tables last night for around 2K! Besides the internet disconnecting with 3 left in the $82 this was a great stream. pic.twitter.com/nJrgzox1lt

Despite these prize amounts can’t be compared with the winning he received in the Sunday Million, his results are still striking.
