Kahle Burns and Lynn Gilmartin entered the Australian Poker Hall of Fame
Aussie Millions poker series has a tradition: every year, the new members of Australian Poker Hall of Fame appear every year. This year, the winner of WSOP Main Event 2005 Joe Hachem announced the new members: Kahle Burns and the host of WPT Lynn Gilmartin.
Now, the number of participants in the Australian poker hall of fame reached the mark of 21.
Lynn Gilmartin is WPT host who loves poker wholeheartedly
The poker game appeared in Lynn Gilmartin’s life in 2008. She played in the tournament that was held under the aegis of PokerNews. At that moment, she got acquainted with her future employer.
A year later, Lynn started to work at Pokernews and highlighted the World Series of Poker in her reporting. After that, Lynn established herself as an excellent news reporter, and her work was visible at many WPT stops.
The host of ceremony Joe Hachem said that Lynn loves poker wholeheartedly. Initially she worked at Crown Casino, then – at Pokernews, and now she is a permanent host of WPT.
In turn, Lynn states that she is very glad to be in the same company with poker legends. She doesn’t forget about charity. Gilmartin has recently raised AU$100 000 for the victims of the fire in Australia.
Kahle Burns is the first in the ranking of Australia after Joe Hachem
In the past year, Kahle Burns earned more than $4 000 000. In 2020, he managed to take the first place in Super High Roller tournament at PartyPoker Millions.
The Australian player won $8 343 000 in the live tournaments during his entire career. However, he ranked second in the rating of the most profitable player of Australia, as Joe Hachem is in the first place.
The total difference between Kahle’s and Hachem’s rate is $4 000 000. Given the large number of high-roller events played by Kahle, this handicap may be soon decreased.
The host of ceremony Joe Hachem said that he had played with Burns more than once and Kahle brought him a lot of bad beats. Joe also noted that Kahle managed to win two WSOPE bracelets during one week.
Thus, the two members entered the Poker Hall of Fame. Next year, other new members will be announced in Aussie Millions series.
