Indian poker rooms will hold tournaments on cruise ships
This year, the WSOP 2019 had a high level of attendance. It attests to the fact that poker hasn’t lost its popularity. Leading Indian poker rooms decided to join the offline industry development, and for this reason will hold a number of live poker events.
Only certain regions of India got poker legalized. In order to achieve full legalization, the gambling operator is trying to win a court case that has been going on for 3 years. The case is of the following subject - whether poker is considered a gamble or a game of skill.
Poker operators like PokerBaazi and Spartan Poker followed the Deltin Poker example. Both companies have acquired partners for holding tournaments and cash games on the ship Casino Pride 2.
Spartan Poker is also preparing to carry out the Indian Poker Championship. The poker festival will be held from 11 to 15 September 2019 on the Big Daddy Casino cruise ship. It will include 4 events. In the Main Event, the organizers are going to collect a guarantee of $424 000.
Indian tournaments will hardly compete with European ones on prize money, but local market is developing rapidly and may receive a big push up by the end of this year.
