GG Network will leave grey markets

GG Poker will leave grey markets

The growing popularity of GGPoker network sets its rules concerning the business running. The company decided to exit all grey markets in order to simplify the process of obtaining a license to work in European countries.

Natural8 players were the first who obtained the news that poker room is not available for the certain regions. Before closing the accounts, the players have an opportunity to withdraw their funds.

Jean-Christophe Antoine, who is the Head of GGPoker, stated that legal and regulatory issues became the reason of leaving grey markets.

“We did pull out of some European countries due to regulation and we are looking into either acquiring licenses or partnering with locally licensed operators. There might be a little difference in how each skin handles this but overall we are moving towards getting regulated to each EU country eventually”.

At the moment, GG Poker announced about leaving 12 countries:

  • Belgium
  • Bulgaria
  • Colombia
  • Czech Republic
  • Georgia
  • Greece
  • Lithuania
  • The Netherlands
  • Poland
  • Romania
  • Slovakia
  • Switzerland

It is not yet known when the process of GG Poker exiting from the grey markets will start. But the players will be given enough time for withdrawal of funds and finding the alternative places.
