Galfond's Challenge: the gap between "VeniVidi" and Galfond reduced to €40 000

Phil Galfond 2020

Heads-up challenge of Phil Galfond continues, and it looks like a fascinating denouement awaits us. On Saturday, Phil Galfond and VeniVidi played another 680 hands in PLO at €100/€200 limits at Run It Once Poker.

In Saturday’s game, "VeniVidi1993" was the leader and this session was supposed to be profitable for him. However, Galfond sharply changed the course of their battle and profitably ended this session (+ €28 000).

Thus, Galfond won three sessions out of the four ones. This brought him €237 000 in total:

  • Session as at 28 March: Phil Galfond + €106 000.
  • Session as at 2 April: Phil Galfond + €113 000.
  • Session as at 3 April: VeniVidi + €28 000
  • Session as at 4 April: Phil Galfond + €28 000.
