Farid Jattin wins high roller event at MILLIONS South America

On February 15, the $10 300 high-roller tournament, which collected 84 entries, finalized at the MILLIONS South America series.

Colombian poker player Farid Jattin turned out to be the champion of the event, for which he received $200 000 in prize money. The runner-up was Rodrigo Seiji from Brazil, who was awarded $129 800.

There were 12 players to get the payouts. The lowest amount of prize money was equal to $25 000, won by Uruguayan player Mario Bonanata.

At the start of heads-up, Farid and Rodrigo had almost equal stacks. Each player had more than 40 million chips with the blinds 200 000/500 000 and ante 500 000.

It was expected that the fight would last long, but the game ended pretty quickly after Rodrigo Seiji lost most of his stack with K-2 against Farid Jattin's A-6. Then, there were only 3.4 million chips left in the Brazilian’s stack.

Seiji tried to remedy that situation, having doubled in the following hands, but finally lost pre-flop all-in with Q-2 against A-6 of Jattin.

Throughout his poker career, Farid Jattin has earned over $5 390 000 in live tournaments. The beginning of 2020 is quite successful for the Colombian.

In mid-January, he won the $16 700 tournament at the Aussie Millions 2020 and added another cool $678 800 to his earnings. In 2018, the guy also received a GPA award in the nomination «National Player of the Year».

His biggest ever prize money is $746 000 for the 7th place in the $25 000 tournament at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure 2019.
