Daniel Cates will play in a heads-up battle against Galfond with special conditions
Phil Galfond and Daniel Cates spent their time by playing cash games at Bellagio casino and Phil offered Cates to take part in his challenge. We recall that according to the terms of the bet, it is needed to play 50 000 hands profitably in a heads-up against Phil in PLO at RIO Poker.
Daniel Cates agreed to a bet and he became the fourth player in the list of participants of challenge that will be held at RIO Poker. Earlier, Bill Perkins, Fernando Habegger and “VeniVidi1993” have already agreed to it.
Cates has special conditions for challenge
In a heads-up challenge, Galfond’s opponents should play 50 000 hands profitably against him at RIO Poker. Cates has special conditions, as he will have to play only 7 500 hands. However, it is not yet known how much the winner of this duel will get.

It became known that Galfond proposed Cates to take part in his challenge during the cash game in Bellagio. Cates added that money is not his main goal in this case and he just wants to beat such a pro as Galfond.

Cates can be called an experienced fighter in a heads-up marathon. Daniel fought online with Tom Dwan in the famous "Durrrr Challenge", but it wasn’t destined to finish. Tom Dwan went into the red in the amount of $800 000 and refused to continue playing.
