Cary Katz took runner up in A$50 000 Challenge at Aussie Millions
Cary Katz has recorded $26 000 000 won in live tournaments for his entire career. The American has extensive experience of confrontations in poker series, and he enjoys using this advantage.
This time he finished poker event one step away from the first place. The $50 000A Challenge tournament attracted 82 entrants, and the prize pool amounted to $2 756 000. Such professionals as Erik Seidel, Sam Greenwood, Timothy Adams and others played at the final table.
Cary Katz and Michael Addamo were able to bust all the participants and reach the final heads-up. In the last hand of the tournament, Katz lost the classic battle with A-J against Michael Addamo’s pair of sixes. The flop turned out to show both jack and six, which brought set to the Australian.
Michael did not let Cary Katz replicate last year’s success, as the American was aimed at winning the second title in a row. While talking to journalists, the champion did not hide his emotions and said he was very happy to win the first ring at Aussie Millions.
The player also added that he had come to this poker festival to play tournaments with big buy-ins, and everything worked out pretty well for him.
