Before the start of final day, Shaun Deeb announced that he wanted to win in the tournament, but his aggressive play didn’t work.

At first, he doubled stack of Alessandro Pezzoli and then he lost a little more chips. After that, Shaun went all in against Grospellier and lost, because Bertrand hit the second nut straight on the flop. As a result, the race for WSOP Player of the Year title finished for Deeb in the first 15 minutes of the final day.

Heads-up lasted over half an hour with a scheduled break. Dayan failed to catch Grospellier by the number of chips and Bertrand became the winner.
