A Good Tournament appeared in 888poker lobby

A Good Tournament

Poker is a very fascinating card game, which features a competitive spirit. This is most evident in tournament poker, where players, like athletes, fight to reach the finals to take the best places.

All players like good tournaments and most of them take place at weekends. 888poker is no exception, as the room hosts its best tourneys during weekends. The poker room decided to add another good tournament (in the literal sense) to its lobby: A Good Tournament.

It’s the name of the new event on the 888poker schedule: $215 tournament with a $20 000 guaranteed prize pool. A Good Tournament will consist of two starting flights, and the final will take place already on the second game day.

In 2020, the tendency of online tournaments is that they have a very long period of late registration, unlimited re-entries, and a large number of flight days. All these have been done to make money from players, but the common perception is that such a policy damages the online poker ecosystem.

A Good Tournament has only two entry phases:

  • Day 1A – on Saturday at 7:35 pm (UTC)
  • Day 1B – on Sunday at 4:35 pm (UTC)

Every Sunday, the second game day, which also is the final day, will take place at 8:pm regularly. Participants of the first days face the challenge of holding out 15 levels in the tournament (about three hours). If only 17% of the field remains in the event, then all survivors will enter the second day.

Participants of the first day can take advantage of one re-entry and late registration that lasts 100 minutes. Players who have no money to play $215 tournaments can qualify through special satellites. 888poker offers qualifiers for $33 and $12, which grant 10 and 5 tickets to A Good Tournament, respectively.
